Why the Return of Print Matters for Local Businesses
For a while now, Oklahoma’s Choice Weekly has been operating primarily in a digital format. That allowed us to stay flexible, keep information moving quickly, and continue connecting businesses with customers across our communities.
But there’s something powerful about print that never really goes away.
That’s why we’re excited to announce that Oklahoma’s Choice Weekly will return to print with our March 26th edition.
This will not be a return to weekly print at this time. Instead, we will be printing one edition at the end of each month, while continuing to publish and promote content digitally throughout the rest of the month.
In many ways, this approach gives businesses the best of both worlds.
Why Print Still Works
Even in a digital world, print continues to hold a unique place in local advertising.
A printed publication sits on a table, a counter, or a desk. People pick it up, flip through it, and often come back to it more than once. Ads aren’t competing with endless scrolling or disappearing after a few seconds on a screen.
Instead, they become part of a page that readers can take their time with.
For local businesses, that kind of visibility still matters.
Digital Keeps the Conversation Going
While print creates a strong anchor for advertising, digital platforms allow us to keep businesses visible throughout the month.
Our digital editions, social media promotion, and online presence continue to give advertisers ongoing exposure between print issues. That means businesses can maintain consistent visibility rather than relying on just one form of advertising.
When print and digital work together, the impact becomes much stronger.
A New Rhythm for Advertising
Moving to a monthly print edition creates a new rhythm for advertising in our communities.
Businesses can plan promotions around the monthly print issue while continuing to stay active digitally in between. It allows advertisers to take advantage of both formats without having to choose one over the other.
For many businesses, that balance is exactly what works best today.
Looking Ahead
The upcoming March 26th print edition marks an exciting step forward for Oklahoma’s Choice Weekly and for the local businesses that rely on advertising to reach their customers.
As always, our goal is simple: help businesses stay visible, stay connected to their communities, and continue growing.
Because at the end of the day, the businesses people see are the businesses people remember.
