Huge John Leigh Estate Auction Coming to Claremore September 17

More than 50 years of collecting will come together for a huge estate auction Thursday, September 17, 2026, in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Chupps Auction & Real Estate will conduct the auction for the estate of John Leigh, with Jeannie Leigh/Bump listed as owner. Leigh was a member of several tractor clubs and enjoyed attending tractor pulls and steam engine shows. He also purchased the inventory of two tractor dealerships, creating an extensive collection that includes tons of new old stock vintage tractor parts and numerous rare finds.

A Large and Varied Collection

The auction will include vintage tractors, combines, farm implements, trailers, pipe, scrap metal and hit-and-miss motors. Buyers will also find workbenches, shop tools, welders, supplies, antiques, vintage household furniture, collectibles and much more.

Two to three auction rings are expected to run throughout the day. Select lots, including lots 2 through 51, will be offered through live onsite and online bidding.

Important Parking and Shuttle Information

There will be no attendee parking at the auction site.

Everyone must park at the Rogers Stampede Arena parking lot and ride the shuttle to the auction. No exceptions will be made, and shuttle service will operate throughout the day.

From Highway 20 east of Claremore, travel north on South 4170 Road for one mile to the stop sign. Turn left onto East 480 Road and continue approximately four-tenths of a mile to the designated parking area.

Removal and Auction Terms

Loading will be available on the day of the auction and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. All purchases must be removed no later than one week after the auction date.

Payment terms include cash, credit cards and checks with proper identification. Oklahoma sales tax applies unless an exemption is provided. Announcements made on the day of the sale will supersede previous advertising.
