45 Years of Ranching: Joe Cox Estate Auction Set for August 27 in Welch

A lifetime of ranching and a collection built over more than four decades will be offered at auction later this month in Welch, Oklahoma.

Chupps Auction & Real Estate will conduct the Joe Cox Estate Auction beginning at 9:01 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 48010 E. 60 Rd. in Welch.

With everything from tractors and farm equipment to hundreds of antiques and collectibles, this will be a substantial sale - and two auction rings will be running throughout the day.

A 45-Year Ranching Collection

Joe and Diane Cox spent their lives ranching. Following Joe's passing, Diane is selling the property and personal items from the couple's 45-year collection.

For buyers looking for farm and ranch equipment, the auction includes an extensive assortment.

Items advertised include trucks, tractors, trailers, vintage tractors, a backhoe, farm implements, cattle feeders, pickup bed trailers, welders, shop tools, horse tack, fencing materials, pasture sprayers, scrap iron and an anvil.

But the auction goes well beyond equipment.

Hundreds of Antiques and Collectibles

Collectors will have plenty to look through as well, with hundreds of antiques and collectibles included in the sale along with household items and much more.

With two rings running all day, buyers should expect plenty of activity throughout the auction.

Onsite and Online Bidding Available

The auction begins at 9:01 a.m., with live onsite bidding throughout the sale.

Online and onsite bidding on Lots 2–55 begins at 10:31 a.m., giving buyers who can't attend in person an opportunity to participate in select portions of the auction.
